ABOUT US

The Toronto Party for a Better City (the "Toronto Party") is a non-partisan, civic electoral organization that has no affiliation to any other political party in Canada. The party was founded in 2006 by Stephen Thiele and Brian Roussie. In 2009, the organization was incorporated under the Ontario Corporations Act.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU

The Toronto Party will focus on:

Improved accountability at City Hall;
Fiscal responsibility in decision-making so that tax money is spent wisely;
A process of open debate on issues that impact all residents equally;
A platform that focuses on core City services

OUR GOAL

As per our home page, our goal from 2015-2017 will be to achieve formal recognition for municipal political parties in Ontario and to gain the ability to include party affiliation on municipal election ballots.

Since 2006 the Toronto Party has looked after the interests of taxpayers.

We want an accountable and transparent government and want to ensure that you get value for your tax dollar.
