The Toronto Party's basic platform is outlined below:

We will repeal the motor vehicle registration tax

We will repeal the municipal land transfer tax

We will repeal the by-law requiring mandatory payment of a 5 cent fee for plastic shopping bags

We will make the delivery of core services the primary focus of City Hall

We will decrease councillors' office budget to $30,000 per year

We will restrict spending from office budgets during an election year

We will impose term limits on the Mayor and Councillors

We will re-examine the need for 44 councillors

We will evaluate the structure of council to ensure it meets the needs of the residents, businesses and former cities

• Extensions of Toronto's subway network

• Light Rail Transit link between Downtown Toronto and Pearson Airport

• A network of off-road bicycle trails

• Filling in gaps in the arterial street system

• Replacement of the elevated Gardiner Expressway with a new viaduct leading to waterfront revitalization

• Two new expressways built entirely within existing utility corridors

• Use of new technologies to keep traffic flowing
