THE TORONTO PARTY
LEADING THE WAY

The Toronto Party's economic development committee advocates that the City of Toronto better manages its assets. It also questions why some would support condominium development on our waterfront to replace viable businesses that currently employ hundreds of people and generate an economic benefit for Toronto.

The committee further recommends that the issue of widening sidewalks on Yonge Street to enhance pedestrian traffic be examined. However, in conjunction with the views of the transportation committee, any such widening should not be undertaken without a comprehensive traffic study of the surrounding area.
