THE TORONTO PARTY was created in October 2006. Since its first public mention by Royson James in the Toronto Star on October 21, 2006, the party has earned numerous media attention.

The party is extremely thankful to the journalists who provided media coverage to the party at the beginning and who helped to give it a life. Since Ontario legislation does not formally recognize municipal political organizations, media coverage is one of the few ways THE TORONTO PARTY can deliver its message to the public. We also believe that in a free and democratic society, an independent media serves as important tool in political discourse.
